Art In Bloom
Posted in Everyday, tagged Art in Bloom, Minneapolis Institute of Art on May 9, 2016| 3 Comments »
It’s been a long time since I’ve been to the Minneapolis Institute of Art, which is too bad because it’s a pretty cool place. Even cooler is the annual Art In Bloom event they have every spring.
Art In Bloom is a four-day, free event featuring floral designs that interpret several objects from the Minneapolis Institute of Art’s collection.
See how they do that? Interpretive floral design not only looks lovely but the whole museum smells like springtime.
Not every piece of art had a floral interpretation, but we took our time and looked at as much art as we could in the time we had. I went with Charlotte, Mom, and Paenney and it was interesting to see what pieces appealed to each of us. Even when I wasn’t thunderstruck by a piece I was always in awe of the talent and inspiration that went into it.
Never underestimate the power of art.
