This month I’m doing a 30-day song challenge following the prompts given by Donna from MyOBT, one of my favorite blogs. It sounded like so much fun I couldn’t resist. Feel free to join in on your social media platform, add your picks in the comments below, or simply enjoy (hopefully) the music I’ve chosen.
Classical music has a place in so many hearts, but not enough hearts. It’s shunned as “stuffy.”
Opera. Again, people say, “stuffy!” Listen to the arias. Appreciate the voices that sing them.
This piece is the one that got me hooked on opera so many yeas ago. The arias, the soulful, joyful, majestic sounds that come from a composer, and relayed through the talents of instruments and voice.
Contemporary opera is fine and good. In my heart the classics hold a special place.
RIP Giacomo Puccini and Luciano Pavarotti. I love you both!
