Real cowboys always wear Wranger jeans. And everyone knows girls go nuts for Wrangler butts.

The Cowboys drink charms have been a top seller since I started making them and are popular with men and women alike.  At one craft show there was a boy about fourteen or fifteen years old with a set of the Cowboys drink charms in his hands, looking thoughtfully at all the images.  His mom wondered why he was so interested in them.  He looked at her and said “I’m going to buy these for Grandma – she loves cowboys!”  I guess even grandmas go nuts for Wrangler butts.  Party on, partner!

Find the Cowboys Drink Charms Set of 6 at Auntie B’s Wax. If they’re sold out let me know – I can make more! Click the pic to fly to the listing in my Etsy shop.

Tonight I’ll be attending the 2013 commencement ceremony for the seniors of DeLaSalle High School. One of those seniors is my nephew, Fojo. In honor of him and his undying passion for fishing I’m featuring my Fish Head Bottle Cap Magnet, available at my Etsy shop. Congratulations, Fojo. Here’s wishing you a fabulous summer of fishing!

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are grey
You’ll never know, dear, how much I love you
Please don’t take my sunshine away

A Child’s Vision
by Alfred Noyes

Under the sweet-peas I stood
And drew deep breaths, they smelt so good.
Then, with strange enchanted eyes,
I saw them change to butterflies.

Higher than the skylark sings
I saw their fluttering crimson wings
Leave their garden-trellis bare
And fly into the upper air.

Standing in an elfin trance
Through the clouds I saw them glance….
Then I stretched my hands up high
And touched them in the distant sky.

At once the coloured wing came back
From wandering in the zodiac.
Under the sweet-peas I stood
And drew deep breaths. They smelt so good.

The day job

It takes every ounce of decorum she can muster

To be polite

To be professional

To put up with the competitive, tunnel-visions of the administration

To be a productive cog in the machinery of a social service agency

But Monday through Friday

When the alarm clock rings at 5:00 a.m.

She wakes up screaming
