It’s a dreary day at the Auntie B’s Wax World Headquarters. The dark, grey sky keeps spitting ice pellets, making the sidewalks and streets look like they’re coated with kosher salt. I love days like this. But I’d probably opt for plain rain rather than ice this time of year.
It’s a perfect day to play on the computer. I’m in a big green chair facing the window out to the back yard, the laptop warming my legs. I’ve been catching up some blog reading and writing the usual e-mails back and forth to Charlotte. Seriously, I don’t know any two sisters who can talk/write to each other more than Charlotte and I.
One thing that’s sort of new at the World Headquarters is that I’ve reopened my Etsy shop. The shop was on vacation for quite a while, but I’ve been slowly adding things to the listings and everything shown is up for sale.
There are candles, drink charms and magnets. The most exciting thing of all is that in the days to come I’ll be adding some never-before-seen products; I just have to get over the photography hump on that. I’ve been experimenting with the camera and my new items, but the lack of sunshine and natural light coming into the windows these days is making it difficult.
It matters not. There are plenty of existing items I can keep adding to the shop. Right now there aren’t many, but I’ll be adding a few listings every day, whether they be new or existing products.
Wish me luck with the photo shoots! I’m not a professional.
You can keep up with new listings on Facebook or Twitter. I invite you to visit the shop too! I’m excited about getting back into the swing of things.
Good for you, Sara! I’ve been so neglecting my studio work…and summer’s on the way!
“Life moves pretty fast, if you don’t stop and look around once in awhile you might miss it!”
I just ran across my set of Ferris drink charms today! Think I’ll have a glass of wine as Sloan tonight!
I think you have nearly every set of wine charms ever made by Auntie B! I’m glad you can “stop and look around” this evening.
Here I am thinking about closing my Etsy shop and you are reopening yours. We just got new postage prices here in Oz and its so expensive for OS customers to buy my art. Im thinking of going local markets now instead. Have fun with the shop Sara.
Hmm, interesting. Our postage prices just went down! Not much, but I’m sure customers who pay for shipping are happy with every little bit. I’m having a hard time finding local markets for my wares, but continue to search. Good luck with your ventures, Kath, your work is beautiful!
Thanks Sara xxxx
