Today I am queen.
I’ve been known as the Black Queen and the Queen of the Compound. I’m also queen bee of Auntie B’s Wax.
I could say off with her head! like the Queen of Hearts.
Or bring me her heart like the Evil Queen in Snow White.
But today I’m the birthday queen that demands nothing more than adoration on the anniversary of my birth.
Today I am queen. God save me.
