Husby and I recently took a road trip to Door County, Wisconsin. The sky was an interesting thing to watch along the way.

When we left Minnesota there were big, fluffy white clouds in a bright blue sky.

As we traveled along the cheerful white and blue sky turned kind of gray.

It looks like something threatening is headed our way!

Yep. There it is, and here it comes. We spent some time driving through rain.

When we reached Bailey’s Harbor we knew we’d found our pot of gold. The sun shone every day we were there.

I was under the impression that if I took some time away from the blog that I would return with abundant topics about which I could write, or at least show some photographs.  I’ve got nothing.  Nothing today, at least.

The holiday weekend was spent with a bunch of weirdos my family at our cottage in Wisconsin.  Along with some rainy weather we had lots of good food and plenty of laughs.  The place had not been overrun by bats or mice over the winter so poop patrol was unnecessary.  Yay!  I was hoping to cure my sleep deprivation, but that didn’t work out too well.  I also tried to make a video of the very impressive thunderstorm on Saturday night, but that didn’t work out either.  I did get a little video made of our beloved Muskie Bay with all its chirping frogs, but I can’t figure out how to move it from my smarty phone to YouTube.  Not much fell perfectly into place, which isn’t really great blog fodder.

While it’s true I had a lovely weekend I can’t prove it here.  I’ve got no pictures (or videos) to share, nor do I have any stories at this particular moment.  In fact, I shouldn’t even be posting this because it really amounts to nothing in the big, bloggy scheme of things.

Long and short of it ~ I’m here to say I’ve got nothing to say.  Don’t you just hate when that happens?

There was one disturbing discovery I made.  The guy who lives a couple cottages down from us is the spitting image of Bob from Twin Peaks.

Bob is loose in the woods of central Wisconsin.

With that I bid you good night.  Or good day, depending on when you read this.  Perhaps by the next time I post I’ll have something interesting to say, even if it’s only about the nightmares I’m bound to have about Bob lurking at the foot of my bed.  Until then remember, the owls are not what they seem.
